If you're like me, and have so much clothing, and no walk in closet, then this is definitely going to help you.
The first thing i have to say is to invest in a closet set up like the one below, it makes your little closet so much bigger (in the way that you can fit more stuff) I got mine from Homedepot, but I think Target and Walmart have some as well.
Starting at the bottom; The very first thing you should do is go through all your shoes. The ones you wear often are obviously the ones you are keeping. If there are any that hurt you feet, you should ditch them because they are probably bad for your feet. (this could mean they are too small pr to big which definitely means they've got to go). Also, shoes that you never wore, and its been like a year since you've bought them, then they should go.
Once you've sorted through you shoes take all the shoes you wear a lot and put them on one side, and less used on the other. Evenly space them on the floor so they aren't on top of each other. If you have many flip flops, you can put them in a box.
Moving on from shoes, lets go to pants (shorts, jeans, skirt). I hang almost all my pants, not including pajama bottoms or soft shorts like soffees. So, I put all the pants I wear the least, towards the wall, and all the pants I wear more often towards the middle. Next to them i put all my more casual pants, like sweats, and leggings.
With tops, I put the in-season stuff towards the center. All my dresses are near the wall (don't wear them as much), and all the out-season stuff is in the middle.
Jackets and coats are set up just like the tops; in-season is toward the middle, out-season is towards the walls.
For all my other clothing, I have them separated into boxes as seen below. All the socks are in one box, the swimsuits in another, hats/gloves etc. I got the boxes at Homedepot, but I've seen them at Target as well.
And here you are! An organized closet for a large wardrobe!
